Impact Showcase - Banks Road Primary School
Wednesday 2nd July 2025 | 1:00PM - 3:30PM | In-person event in Garston, Liverpool.
Join Literacy Counts at Banks Road Primary School, one of our Flagship Schools, for an inspiring afternoon focused on raising standards in primary literacy. This Impact Showcase invites school and MAT leaders to see how Ready Steady Write, Spell and Read Together are embedded to support consistent, high-quality teaching across reading, writing, spelling and spoken language. Explore classrooms, experience our research-informed teaching sequences in action and hear from pupils and staff about the impact on outcomes, engagement and reducing workload.
Welcome to our Flagship Primary Schools showcase!
Explore our Flagship Schools to see how Literacy Counts resources are transforming primary literacy provision across the curriculum. These schools have successfully embedded our Ready Steady Literacy suite, including an evidence-based primary writing scheme, structured reading programmes, and fully resourced phonics and spelling curricula, all aligned to the National Curriculum for EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
With long-term support from Literacy Counts consultants and tailored CPD, they showcase what’s possible with a consistent, whole-school approach to teaching reading, writing, phonics and spelling. From confident staff and cohesive planning to improved outcomes for all children, our Flagship Schools demonstrate the lasting impact of a high-quality, fully embedded primary literacy curriculum.

Our Flagship schools are unable to offer individual visits; however, we host both in-person and virtual events throughout the year. These events provide primary school leaders with an opportunity to see Ready Steady Write resources in action. Attendees can engage in pupil voice and leadership voice sessions, tour learning environments, conduct book looks, and consult with our expert team. These comprehensive events ensure that school leaders can gain valuable insights and first hand experience of our award-winning program's implementation and impact on student outcomes.
