This course equips English subject leaders with up-to-date guidance, practical leadership insights and current national developments to support effective decision-making and drive continued improvement in English across the school.
Course aims:
Keep up to date with national developments in English education, including curriculum, assessment and pedagogy
Explore current Ofsted priorities and their implications for English leadership
Reflect on developments in reading, writing and oracy to support whole-school improvement
Consider effective approaches to monitoring, evaluation and action planning in English
Explore examples of effective practice and current research in primary English
Support subject leaders in identifying priorities and next steps across the academic year
