FREE Implementation Support Session: Ready Steady Write EYFS

A focused online session to support EYFS and Senior Leaders in embedding Ready Steady Write into everyday practice, inspiring children’s imagination, developing their early writing skills and building the foundations for confident, purposeful writing.

The session will:

  • Reflect on the early implementation of EYFS Ready Steady Write, celebrating successes and examples of effective practice

  • Explore any challenges or barriers when using the approach within the EYFS

  • Consider how to bring stories to life through engaging experiences, high-quality texts, talk and purposeful writing opportunities

  • Explore how Ready Steady Write can support children’s developing language, vocabulary, mark-making and early composition skills

  • Provide opportunities to ask questions and receive tailored, evidence-informed guidance to support your setting’s needs

Format: Online Teams session with a Literacy Counts Literacy Consultant

Audience: EYFS Leaders, English Subject Leaders and Senior Leaders involved in implementation

This session provides an opportunity to reflect on how Ready Steady Write is being embedded within the EYFS, share successes, address emerging challenges and identify practical next steps to support children’s early writing development. Together, we will consider how to create meaningful opportunities for children to develop their ideas, explore language and begin to see themselves as writers.

Please note: This is a group session, so colleagues from other schools and settings will also be attending. This provides a valuable opportunity to share experiences, discuss approaches and learn from others who are at a similar stage of implementation.

We look forward to seeing you all!
