Meeting the Needs of Children with EAL

Expert-led EAL training for primary schools – build inclusive classrooms with effective literacy and language support for pupils with English as an Additional Language

Audience: SLT, English Subject Lead, ECTs, Class Teachers & TAs.

Do you have children who have English as an Additional Language in your school? This professional development session will provide ideas, strategies and approaches for supporting with English as an Additional Language within a rich literacy curriculum.

You will explore a range of ways to develop:

  • Positive and supportive literacy environments

  • Vocabulary development and EAL learners

  • Reading and EAL Learners

  • Writing and EAL learners
