This course will assist TAs to:
Identify common reasons children struggle with writing, including SEN, EAL, and confidence issues.
Support planning, sentence building, and editing with practical tools like writing frames and oral rehearsal.
Help pupils construct accurate, varied sentences using simple strategies.
Use phonics-based spelling help and build writing stamina through handwriting techniques.
Give effective praise, set small goals, and foster a love of writing.
