How can schools develop confident, fluent writers through high-quality handwriting teaching and transcription practice?

This course supports English subject leaders and teachers in strengthening handwriting provision through evidence-informed practice, drawing on The Writing Framework, EEF guidance and current Ofsted priorities around writing, fluency and curriculum implementation. Explore how effective handwriting teaching can reduce cognitive load, improve writing outcomes and support pupils to write with greater stamina, accuracy and confidence.

  • Supporting pupils with handwriting difficulties

  • Monitoring handwriting provision, progression and pupil outcomes
